Description of objectSa Domu Peparosa, a lovingly restored and modernised old Campidano house, is located in the 'Venezziedda' (little Venice) quarter of Cabras and only a short distance from the lagoon 'Stagno di Cabras'. Peparosa offers 3 separate apartments, each furnished and decorated individually. The apartment BRIDI, which is advertised here, is on the ground floor and has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom w. shower and bidet. The kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner gas stove top, an electric oven, fridge w. small freezer compartment, microwave and an ample living-dining area. The sofa bed in the living room provides additional sleeping for max. 2 people. The inner court yard with it's orange tree provides space to relax and sun bathe in private or enjoy the balmy sardinian summer nights under a starlit sky.A small portable barbecue offers the possibility to grill fish or meat. All apartments are air conditioned (doubles as heating on cooler days). Children's cot (up to 2 yrs of age) and high chair can be provided upon request. Avid chefs will enjoy the well equipped kitchen. Free internet access, free parking. Our local caretakers speak German and Italian. Location of objectSa Domu Peparosa with it's 3 holiday flats is situated in a quiet neighborhood near the Stagno (lagoon) di Cabras and on the periphery of the town. Restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, bars, banks, pharmacies, general practitioners ecc are open year round and can be reached on foot. The local winemakers, Azienda Contini, make excellent reds and whites and are internationally renowned.Town: Italy, Sardinien, Cabras (OR)Cabras is a lively fisher town on Sardinia's west coast. The Stagno (lagoon) of Cabras provides the town with mullets and eels and the famous 'bottarga', cured and salted mullet roe.Due to the color of this fish roe (it ranges from amber to a light golden brown) and it's price the bottarga is also called 'the gold of Cabras'. Try a plate of 'spaghetti con bottarga' together with a glass of Vermentino - what better way to end a perfect day! Apart from the bottarga there's beaches galore to discover! The Sinis peninsula is famous for its spacious sand and quartz pebble beaches. Whether enjoying the crystal clear and almost caribbean waters at Maimoni beach or the dramatic waves at Sa Mesa Longa beach: the coastal region around Cabras offers a different beach for every day of the week. Is Arutas, Is Arenas, Mari Ermi, Sa Rocca Tunda and many more are all within easy driving distance from Cabras. Spectacular sun sets over the 'Catalano', a rock in the open sea visible from the sea shore, provide the perfect setting for a sun downer at the 'Sole e Mare' at Mari Ermi beach and history buffs will feel transported back into roman and phoenician times at the Tharros excavation site. Beach towels can be provided for Euro 5,-/towel for the duration of the vacation. Final cleaning (obligatory) costs Euro 60,- for up to 2 people and Euro 70,- for 3-4 people. Electricity is charged separately (Euro 0,40/KwH, separate meter in apartment). A refundable deposit of Euro 150,- is due immediately after booking confirmation. Payment via bank draft only, no PayPal or credit cards. |
