Location of objectKonyaalti is a municipality (belediye) in the city of Antalya. It is both a popular beach resort, with all-inclusive hotels.
The area is the choice of many expats in Antalya, partly because of its proximity to Baki Beach and Konyaaltı Beachpark, but also because the services available makes Konyaalti an easy place to live in Turkey.
There are three hospitals in the area: the Devlet (state) Hospital, the University Hospital, and the private Olimpos Hospital. The police station in charge of foreigners\' affairs is also in Uncalı, Konyaalti. This is where expats go to apply for residency permits.
There are also plenty of shopping opportunities. The main shopping center is the Migros Shopping Mall, which in addition to a multiplex theater has all kinds of shops: the Migros supermarket, designer clothing boutiques, book, music and electronic shops. There is also a DIY store, Banio in Konyaalti, as well as plenty of grocery and convenience stores.
You will not be short for a bite to eat as there are many restaurants, including Guneyliler for kebaps, Samsun for pide and Zencefil for traditional Turkish home cooking. There are also weekly markets in various districts in Konyaalti: Tuesday in Liman, Wednesday in Toros, Thursday in Meltem and Friday in Altinkum. These markets have the freshest fruits, vegetables, fish and dairy products.
Konyaaltı has a wealth of cultural activities. Ataturk Kultur Merkezi (culture center) is the home of the Antalya State Symphony, which performs every Friday evening. AKM is also the location for the International Piano Festival, which features world-famous classical and jazz musicians.
Adjacent to AKM is the Cam (glass) Pyramid, a convention center, and an outdoor concert venue which serves as the site of Oktoberfest celebrations.
Other things to do include a visit to Mini City which is a park with replicas of Turkey\'s architectural sights as well as the Antalya Aquarium, Waterpark and Dolphinland which are situated just behind the Beachpark. There are also a few Tennis clubs in the area.
