Within the premises there are safe parking places that can easily hold up to 4 cars. The climate conditions here are comparable to those of alpine towns lying above 1200m AMSL. The main strength of Szklarska Poręba as a winter sports resort is the persistent snow cover – usually lasting 110 days a year, which makes it a paradise for skiing enthusiasts. The network of lifts consists of two lengths of chairlift and 5 T-bar lifts. The system is one of the latest in Poland. There are also a lot of wire lifts and T-bar lifts all over the town slopes. In Jakuszyce, which belong to Szklarska Poręba, the snow cover remains thick until late spring. The tracksof this cross-country ski resort, with the total length of 100km, will satisfy the expectations of both big-time sportsmen and amateurs of tracks (the highest routes are at almost 1000m AMSL), while outside the ski season, the same tracks perfectly serve the bicycle enthusiasts. The entire network of picturesque trails in the Karkonosze and the Jizera Mountains, is a network of bike trails of varying difficulty - some with sharp driveways and adrenaline-rushing downhill rides, others ideal for a whole-family bike trip. If we add to our town offer the possibility of using the hiking paths (beautiful, picturesque routes around the Karkonosze National Park and the Jizera Mountains), with mountain climbing, horseback riding on the vast wilderness of forest and thesearch for minerals - then we would have a full vision of a variety of attractions offered in Szklarska Poreba. Szklarska Poreba is also a great place for trips to nearby resorts of Lower Silesia and the Czech Karkonosze (on account of the number of border crossings, both for pedestrians and vehicles - to the golden city of Prague).
