Description of objectThis guest house represents one of the oldest and best protected houses of the area. It serves as historical, cultural and monumental building of the local village travelling you back in time. It has initially been built in the last decade of the 19th century. The renovation that took place in 2011 preserved the historical local architecture. The house is made out of stone, local marble and wood. The origin of the wood is mainly from Mount Athos. The same stone oven that was used for more than a century has been completely preserved in the yard in front of the guest house. This luxurious studio is 45m^2 within a 2.000m^2 land with own garden and an impressive line of cypress trees and hosts two adults and one child. It consists of a large room, which has a double bed, couch, TV, closet and the same beautiful fireplace that was built in the late of the nineteenth century, a seperate small kitchen and a bathroom. The towels are changed two times a week. A welcoming basket with local products is offered at your arrival. This guest house is located in Ano Styra, 4km away from the port. Hiring a car is recommended in order to easier explore the beauties of South Evia.
