Description of object

Casa Sophia is located in the Costa Dorada south of the city of Barcelona.
The B&B is situated between the towns of El`perello and L'Ametlla de Mar.
Just 40 minute drive from Reus airport, and one & half hour drive from the
City of Barcelona.

There is one B&B which can accommodate 2 people (See The B&B Page for more information)
There is a large swimming pool available for use at any time of the day.
Unfortunately we do not cater for pets and there is no disabled access.

Location of object

Some of the most beautiful virgin coastline on the Mediterranean is found along the 16 km coastline of l'Ametlla. Its jagged profile includes beautiful cliffs dropping on to beaches, creeks and coves, each one with its own characteristics. Some with fine, white sand, others stony - surrounded by typically Mediterranean vegetation where the colours and scents of Nature and Sea combine to form magnificent hues.

Fishing has been the backbone of the town from its birth to present day.

L'Ametlla's fishing fleet is one of the most important in Catalonia because of the number of vessels (tuna-fishing boats, trawlers, cercol, casting, drift-net) and the quantity of fish captured.

Some of the breeds of fish found in abundance here are sardines, anchovy, hake, red mullet, octopus, gilt-head bream, tuna and prawns.
