Welikande Villas is 7 acre hillside property at 2,500 ft situated at the edge of the Knuckles range National Park
We have renovated the Old Priests House to give 3 bedrooms 1 living room kitchen and bathroom There are stunning views over the Victoria Dam Reservoir or Knuckles Mts.
There are so many things to experience :
Tea plantations
Trekking in the Knuckles Mountains
Waterfalls
Fantastic fauna and flora especially the birds and butterflies
Peace and quiet after the hussel and bussel of daily Sri Lanka.
Cool evenings and a daytime temperature of rarely above 27 degrees
Authentic Sri Lankan cooking by Shamarla your hosts wife.
Pick your own exotic fruit for breakfast or a snack whilst you walk around the paths that wind around the property

Massage
We can also offer trips and tours with Gerard our local driver that will be happy to collect you from the airport or train station.

The accommodation is a large, light ,airy bedroom with double bed or 2 single beds and an en suite bathroom, which are cleaned every day.
Lunch and dinner can be offered but at extra cost.
2 of the apartments have balconies.
We can offer family accommodation with 2 side by side apartments
Meals are served in the restaurant with its panoramic views over the Victoria Dam Reservoir.

The Old Priests house has its own gardens and is part of the Welikande Villas estate which is set in 7 acres of land. The land is on the border of sub tropical and temperate so the wildlife is large and varied the temperature rarely comes above 27 degrees during the day and falls below 15 degrees at night.

Town: Sri Lanka, Knuckles mountains, kandy

Kandy is 25 km away and is a world heritage listed site with unesco.
The tooth temple and especially the August Elephant festival there are many street markets with spices and clothes to browse.
