Description of objectIn the heart of the Sao Mamede Natural Park, Alentejo, Portugal surrounded by cork, pine and eucalyptus forest and over 2 acres of fully organic land with 220 olive trees, various fruit trees and an organic vegetable garden. A beautiful fully converted using natural products 150 year old cart makers cottage with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and an additional bed-settee if necessary in the living area.Free Wi-Fi internet access for all our guests, bring your own computer and surf for free! Over 200 species of birds including Golden Eagle, many areas for relaxing, a refreshing and welcoming swimming pool, totally private and peaceful with only the sounds of goat and sheep bells and the surrounding wildlife. 1km from a very friendly hamlet with bar/restaurant/cafe with English speaking lady bar owner. Private BBQ area with all your fuel provided and plenty of space to entertain in the shade or sunshine. Fully guided walks available: We provide fully guided walks through the Natural Park and to local places of interest, we also provide detailed walk guides if you prefer not to take a guided walk. During the summer all the village swimming pools are open and there is river swimming with beautiful waterfalls in the next village. Portalegre we are 1km from the tiny hamlet of Besteiros de Cima which has a friendly village bar open every day except mondays with English, French and Portuguese speaking lady owner. The village is then a 10 minute drive from Alegrete with its castle walls and 30 minutes from Marvao and Castelo de Vide two beautiful castle villages on the border with spain.
