Is situated in the Serra de Aire e Candeeiros, near to Batalha and Alcobaça, and close to several tourist attractions such as caves, monasteries, and Fatima.
Some young people join every Sunday morning for the mountain biking.
Town: Portugal, Costa da Prata, Valverde - Alcanede
Small village with 350 residents, with 4 cafes, grocery stores, a health center and a restaurant with traditional food. Is wonderfull to know the portuguese traditions. Throughout the year there are parties almost every weekends in the vicinity (3-6 miles). In Valverde each year are held three religious celebrations and some themed parties.
Religious celebrations: in honor of Our Lady of Fatima (May), in honor of St. Peter (June 29) and in honor of Jesus Christ (in October). Events with a procession. At the end the products that were offered by the people that organized the celebration are sold.
