Description of object La Camelia is the oldest house in Benabbio, a lovely hill village, which dates back to 983, and located just 5 km from Bagni di Lucca.

The interior of the property is furnished to a very high standard whilst retaining all the traditional Tuscan beamed ceilings, and exudes the care it has been given by the family over the generations. Amongst the very tasteful interior décor are some interesting furnishings, for instance an original Singer sewing machine and a very old gramophone.
The accommodation comprises, large kitchen with dining area, spacious lounge with television, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom has a double and a single bed and is characterised by a stunning painting on one wall, which has the appearance of a window with a sea view! The second bedroom has twin beds that can be joined to make another double, on request.
The kitchen is spacious and well equipped should guests wish to cook the fresh local produce. The modern bathroom comprises shower, sink, toilet and bidet.

The village of Benabbio has several shops, two good restaurants and a great welcome from the local community. Bagni di Lucca is accessible by car or bus and offers a variety of attractions including the natural spa treatments at Bagni di Lucca Terme, a tennis club, trekking, rafting, mountain biking and the superb swimming pool in Villa. There are excellent road, rail and bus links to the coast, to nearby cities, for instance, Florence and Lucca.
