Description of objectOur Villa 5 minutes close to the Beach Sorrounded by Olive groves awaits you. Stay and live a animal-farm adventure,this Villa used to host a big variety of animals and still has the appropriate cut for it. Built on one of many terraces of the old olive tree grove that surround it has pathways through the terraces and a stairway which leads to the courtyard with a big barbecue hall. Our property starts from the local road meandering the shoreline, and reaches all the way to the crystal clear sea, with amazing views of the Aegean, surrounded by pine trees, lemon and orange and olive trees, on a terraced grounds that lead from the road to the beach through a series of pathways. It is situated in an exclusive area surrounded by other villas and large estates. Enjoy your privacy, but also be less than an hour from downtown Athens. A pleasant drive from the property is the famous Cape Sounio (15 min away) where the ruins of the Temple of Poseidon (God of the seas) overlook the Aegean Sea. Only a few miles further on is the busy summertime port town of Lavrion, with ferries to nearby islands. Lavrion is well known for its eating houses (fish restaurants, traditional greek cusine) and cafe/bars.Please note that visitors can be offered a car under terms and should love animals, as we have Linda, our very friendly dog on the property.Linda is fantastic with children and is of minimal nuisance overall The entire coastline from Athens to Sounio has numerous sandy beaches suitable for swimmers of all ages. Athens International Airport is located a 15 minute drive from the property. The house is found on a 150 acre olive grove, and has a modern old-art interior design. The studio itself is ideal for a a couple or two friends.The wooden panelling brings out a cosiness for relaxing holidays all year round. Near by are the secluded coves of Anavyssos, where the Aqua Divers Club (22910 53461, www.aquadiversclub.com) can help you to explore the wonderfully transparent sea. Nearby is one of Jacques Cousteau\'s old bases, the Calypso Hotel ),atmosphere and 1960s This is wine country, too: call ahead to arrange a visit to Anavyssos\'s innovative Katogi-Strofilia estate, famous for its boutique whites (22910 41650, www.katogi-strofilia.gr). After Anavyssos, civilisation becomes thin on the ground. Thimari, with its free beaches, is named after the wild thyme that fills the air. By now, the city feels hundreds of miles away. But at Attica\'s southeastern tip lies one last reminder of Athens at the peak of its glory: the ruined Temple of Poseidon, an echo of the Parthenon teetering on the 200ft cliffs of Cape Sounion. For ancient Athenians, this was the last glimpse of home before they sailed into the Aegean, and they gathered here for regattas to keep the sea god on their side. The temple\'s interior is roped off, but, with a zoom lens, you can see the names of former visitors, including Byron\'s, chiselled into the columns, For all that, the view over the Saronic Gulf steals the show: sunsets draw coachloads of admirers, who occasionally burst into spontaneous applause.
