Uzumlu village literally translated means 'grape yard' or 'place of the grape' and shares its plateau location with the neighbouring village of Incirkoy (fig village). Perched 400m above the village of Uzumlu lies the ancient Roman/Lycian city of Cadianda with monuments dating back to the 5th century B.C. Visitors to Cadianda can explore the ruins of a temple and angora, stadium, baths and theatre and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

If peace and tranquillity is your thing then Uzumlu is the place to 'getEat al fresco and watch the sun go down! away from it all' and enjoy the beauty of its natural surroundings. Eating al fresco in one of the local restaurants or lokantas and watching the sun setting over the mountains is about as lively as it gets! apart from the occasional wedding. Excellent road links - a very scenic drive!
A more active night life can be found in nearby Fethiye town.
Üzümlü is a loveley village up in the mountains. it's never as hot as in Fethiye - the clima is especially for your health fantastic (rheuma, asthma, heart...).
