Smallvillage is a place where you can enjoy of the peaceful surroundings and beauties of the lake of Iseo. The flat is a part of a building in Riva di Solto, a pleasant holiday resort, loved by all tourists interested in nature, sports, history, quietness and good home cooking. It is never too crowded. From there you can easily make all types of excursions and trips you like. It is the best place to go on holiday.

Location of object

It is possible to practice swimming, canoeing, sailing, surfing, nautic skiing, horseriding, trekking and cycling.
You can also:
go on a day trip to Boario thermal springs to learn something about fitness and good health;

Town: Italy, Iseosee, Riva di Solto

Riva di Solto is a rural centre and a renowned holiday resort on the western shore of the lake of Iseo (situated 186 mts above the sea-level). From there you can have a beautiful view of the opposite shore.
In the 14th century this waterside village became a city state and for centuries it had a fortified borough characterized by a network of tortuous lanes leading straight to the shore. Many ancient houses on the opposite sides of these narrow lanes are linked by vaults and have gates with the family coat-of-arms over them.
As soon as you enter the village, you can admire the parrocchiale of San Nicola built in the year 1729 in neo-classic style and enlarged in 1875, containing some interesting paintings and a fine altarpiece painted by Orazio Pilati in the early 17th century.
Near the church there stands an ancient medieval tower, while the remains of three other towers and those of a ring of walls are still visible in the historical centre of the village to prove the presence of a fortified castle in the middle ages.
Facing the lake, you can appreciate a seventeenth century palace palazzo Martinoni di Calepio with its baroque gate and a beautiful arcaded court.
