Description of objectLarge characterful town house.The kitchen is spacious and well equipped; with plenty of work area and storage. It has a glass topped hob and oven with grill and spit. The dining area is bright and comfortable, with ample seating for 6 diners. There is a large sitting room with revealed stone and beams. It has a wood burning insert, television, and games. The downstairs wc with handbasin is off the hallway. There is an attractive big winter plant room with comfortable seating and small tables. Due to the big windows it is always bright and welcoming. The utility room houses a washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, iron/ironing board etc.. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms, two with double beds and the third room has two single beds. There is a pretty bathroom with bath and shower above, plus WC and handbasin. The house is very comfortable and totally renovated throughout. We also offer a catering and cleaning/washing service. Location of objectWe are an hours drive from Fourras, La Rochelle and Royan beaches.There is a lot of interest for the sportives or nature lovers who wish to walk or cycle and view the beautiful forests, parks and countryside faune and flora, and meet the lovely Poitou Charente donkeys. 20 mins away there is a lovely natural lake with peddleboats, crazy golf, swimming and a great restaurent. Just 12 mins you will find an independent bar and restaurent with pool. Town: France, poitou-charente, Aulnay de SantongeThe town of Aulnay is a thriving pretty market town and is just 2 mins walk from 'La renaissance'. It has almost everything to offer, ie 3 bakers, a small co-op, a bar/bookies, 3 restaurents, post office, 3 hair dressers, 2 beauty parlours, a chemist, 3 banks, etc.The market is every Sunday and sells oysters/mussels, cheeses, flowers, fresh fish/meat/ patés, spices, clothes and olives etc. There is also a very large market once a month. The supermarket is just 5 mins drive and sells petrol and diesal and everything necessary for you to enjoy your stay. Close by there is a public swimming pool, tennis courts and football field. There is so much to see and do. It is a very interesting area for it's historical value. The magnificent church at the far end of the road from 'La Renaissance' is reknowned to be one of the finest Roman examples in France therefore a must to explore.
