Description of objectDar Benares is a charming holiday rental property located in the hearth of the old city of Fez. The house is 400 years old, and it was carefully restored over the period of two years, using only traditional materials and craftsmanship typical of Fez. The property has lovely sculpted plasterwork, handmade Zellij mosaic, painted wood, and crafted cedar wooden doors and ceilings. It is also decorated with simple traditional furniture from Fez, with the comfort of our guests in mind.
Dar Benares is built around a medium-size courtyard, which has in its center a round Zellij table surrounded by iron chairs. The living room has large sofa and a grand open fireplace, a flat television screen with built in DVD player and iPod docking station if you wish to bring your own movies and music. Dining area is just off the courtyard with Moroccan banquettes (Frash). There is a fully equipped kitchen as well--with oven, fridge, freezer, crockery and cutlery--if you wish to cook, or try authentic, specially cooked, meals at the house, prepared by our cook.
Dar Benares fits six people. It has two double bedrooms, and one single bedroom, with master beds and spacious wardrobes. All rooms have air-conditioning, which can be used to heat or cool the bedrooms for a more restful sleep. The house also has two luxurious bathrooms; one of which has a giant circular copper bath. All bedrooms and bathrooms are in the second floor. From this level several stairs lead up to the terrace, which has a mosaic table, should you wish to have your breakfast or dinner in open air.
Location of objectDar Benares is located in the heart of the Medina, it is 5 min walk from one of the main entrances to The Medina, which called Rcif. The food marquet, Taneries, Quaraouiinelthe Oldest univercity in The world and most of the other monuments are just 5 to 15 min walk from this beautiful house.
