Escape the stresses of fast paced modern living in a fully equipped 2 bedroom self catering villa and gaze down onto the azure waters that lap calmly against the extensive shorelines. Take a trip on a local fishing boat boat and visit the islands and hidden coves. The 2 vacation villas are nestled in our organic olive grove allowing for a secluded, tranquil holiday, yet only 1.5km from the charming seaside villages of Methoni and Finikounda where you can enjoy original tasty Greek fare in the numerous family run tavernas, soak up the sun and swim in the crystal clear seas on the various blue flag, pristine beaches. Take in the local atmosphere whilst savoring a cool drink or chilled coffee, in a cafe around Methonis seaside village square.There are a number of stunning sites of antiquity to explore, (Methoni, Pylos and Koroni castles, Olympia, Ancient Messene, Mystra, etc) quaint picturesque fishing villages to meander through and lush landscapes to marvel in. The area is ideal for walking and rambling whether through olive groves, along beaches or hiking along river beds and even up mountains. Our 2 acre site incorporates various aspects of eco and agritourism. We rear chickens, for their delicious free range organic eggs and have a developing organic vegetable and fruit garden using permaculture methods. All our seasonal produce is provided in the welcome pack to sample. Guests, especially kids are welcome to feed our chickens any kitchen leftovers, and may on request collect the freshly laid mega yolk eggs. The 2 acre site, with tree houses, hammocks, pool table and table football allows for children\'s imaginative play in a natural environment. Accommodation Our 2 fully equipped, 2 bedroom self catering holiday villas (each sleep up to 4 adults and 2 children) and 1 spacious apartment (sleeps2 adults and 3 children) are nestled in a peaceful location amongst olive and fruit groves, with nothing to disturb the peace apart from the chirp of the morning birds or the ring of mid day cicadas. There are awesome sea views to enjoy from the veranda, swimming pool, and various points around the 2 acre grove. Only 1.5km between charming seaside villages of Methoni and Finikounda & 800m to sandy beach. You can enjoy al-fresco dining on a shaded veranda, perhaps cooked on the barbecue, whilst gazing down onto the azure waters of the Mediterranean. Laze in a hammock or by the pool. Enjoy a walk in nature, from outside the door, through the olive groves down to the beach or explore the quiet tracks leading inland for fantastic sweeping views of the countryside. Our 2 holiday homes are furnished with everything you will need and include: air conditioning and ceiling fans, washing machine, oven/hob, fridge freezer, juicer, coffee machine, toaster, c.d player, bbq, sun loungers, hammock WiFi internet and swimming pool with breakfast bar. We welcome you with a hamper of our organic produce including our extra virgin olive oil, olives, our fresh free range eggs ( which children are welcome to collect), home baked bread, jam, cooled mineral water and a cold beer. Our produce of seasonal vegetables, olive oil, olives, marmalade and fresh eggs are available on request as is a Mediterranean style evening meal served around the pool. To aid in finding the balance between, relaxing in the house or around the grounds and pool, and exploring the attractions of the local area, we provide our personal guide booklet. With recommendations to: sites of interest, beaches and places of natural wonder to visit, local walks, and tavernas offering a traditional and authentic Greek menu. Location of objectSea Breeze Villas are located in the picturesque South West corner of Messinia in the Peloponnese. 1 hour from Kalamata airport and a scenic 4 hour drive from Athens airport or Patras port.There are various spots along the extensive coastline for water sports activities. Fishing is a popular past time and many shops have tackle and bait. Windsurf equipment is available for hire and tuition is also available for catamaran sailing and kayaks. The local Dive centre offers P.A.D.I qualification courses, equipment rental, snorkeling tours and boat hire to explore the bays, coves and unspoiled reefs. The location is ideally situated to explore the area which has attractions in nature, antiquity and ambiance to satisfy all ages. Only 45 minutes from local airport (Kalamata). It has an impressive castle to explore and some of the countries finest, uncrowded, child friendly sandy beaches with crystal clear sea. Many tasty local tavenas with a friendly and welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. Pylos (10min), Koroni (20min) and Finikounda(5min) are picturesque Greek fishing villages.
