Given this location, the property is perfectly situated for on-site golfing as well as tennis, swimming, squash, badminton, snooker, sauna and massage, all available at the Palm Hills Sports Club. It is equally suitable for those preferring a holiday on Hua Hin’s long and unspoilt white beaches. The sea, visible through the trees, is warm, unpolluted and welcoming. The many al fresco beach side restaurants and those throughout the town offer a range of cuisines, in particular, fresh and vibrant Thai dishes. For those looking for more action, the property provides a base from which to explore the surrounding countryside. Two large rain forests are readily accessible from Hua Hin. These abound with wildlife among their trees, undergrowth and watercourses. In essence, our guests are offered multiple holidays – for the true golfer, for the family, for the naturalist and for those who want to have a mix of holiday activity – all in a single package, and in a standard of luxury that is hard to beat. Golf: Palm Hills Golf Club provides a splendid holiday opportunity for golfers to enjoy their sport in the golfing capital of Thailand. Being located right on one of Hua Hin’s major golf courses, and with the town’s other eight major courses all just a short distance away, golfers staying here for a week can play a different high-class course every day. Golf is very reasonably priced in Thailand by world standards, with a round typically costing approximately US$130 inclusive of cart and caddy, even at weekends A party of up to 8 golfers could base themselves in this spacious accommodation and test their skills on a variety of nearby courses within a single holiday. Location of objectWhen looking to buy a holiday home in Thailand, we have spent considerable time looking around Hua Hin, and eventually decided upon a condominium at Palm Hills. Our reasons were numerous and varied.The most important deciding factor was the general ambience of the place. Most of the properties we looked at were in anonymous high-rise buildings and often in noisy locations. We didn’t want that. We wanted a quiet location with green, open views. We also wanted to be near the sea and within easy access to Hua Hin town. Other items on our wish list, such as the availability of a large swimming pool, tennis courts and a gym, and close proximity to one or more restaurants, were secondary issues. Even so, Palm Hills met all these conditions, so we bought it. Since 2003 we have spent many holidays there. Indeed, we spend as much time as we can in our Hua Hin home but cannot be away from Hong Kong for more than a few weeks each year. It became quite a concern to us that our lovely property at Palm Hills was not being enjoyed as it should be, if not by us then by anyone else. Consequently, we decided to make it available to people who wanted to rent a place with the advantages that our home offers. Hence this advertisement. Our condo is not for people who are looking for the racy nightlife offered in other parts of Thailand, such as in Bangkok, Phuket or Pattaya. Hua Hin isn’t that sort of place. It does have a bar district but is limited in size and pretty low-key. Its chief night-time attraction is the food. On the other hand, holidaymakers who are looking for a quiet place where their children can play safely, or which is just a short drive from one or more of Thailand’s welcoming beaches, will find this place ideal. Again, holidaymakers who are keen golfers can tee-off just a short walk from the condo’s front door. Moreover, holidaymakers who are just looking for a quiet place to relax, albeit with easy access to the town when required, will find that this is just the place for them. Town: Thailand, Hua Hin, Hua HinHua Hin used to be just a small fishing village, and that legacy is still apparent today. The fishing boats unload their catch on a daily basis much as they have always done. It is no surprise that the town has numerous restaurants specialising in fish dishes cooked in both Thai and international styles.Hua Hin was the first beach resort in Thailand, made popular in the 1920s when the King built a summer palace here. The King still lives in Hua Hin for much of the year, and the town retains its relaxed old-world charm. Additional activities include a visit to the recently opened floating market, a winery up in the hills with its excellent restaurant, elephant rides through the forest and water, shopping at several large factory outlets and relaxing massages, manicures, pedicures etc all add to the joys of a Hua Hin holiday. The surrounding countryside remains unspoilt and its exploration is a rewarding experience. Of particular interest are two Nature Parks - rain forests that are home to monkeys, deer, antelopes, elephants, swarms of butterflies, etc. Nature trails offer the opportunity for trekking, bird watching, photography, caving and a study of the area’s ecosystems.
