Description of objecthomage.istanbul, an entirely new experience in Istanbul, is now open for reservation – short or long stays are welcomed .Hidden in a tranquil street, the newly renovated 1930s building is situated in a charming historical area of Beyoğlu, rich both in cultural and arts activities.
There are Armenian and German churches as well as Emin mosque and a French hospital just to name a few landmarks in antiquity style which can be found in the immediate neighbourhood, Kaya on Coast that introduced you the famous CokCok Thai restaurant, is now introducing another gem in Istanbul, inviting you to experience the new in the old.
It was essential to keep the original look of the building. You can feel this philosophy in the marble entrance door frame, concrete-stone covered legs, wrought iron in ground floor and entrance door of the building. In addition, embroideries and artworks on Byzantium path and arch noticed on the face of the building have been truly cleaned and repaired. Inside the building the banisters and doors have been preserved staying true to its original and the wrought irons and window frames of the ground floor have been manufactured accordingly. There is a back yard which is accessible from the ground floor. In addition, traverse ceiling has been kept in its original shape. There is a tailor made elevator serving between the ground floor and the 4th floor within the building. The closed area of the Terrace Floor (over the cage of staircase) has been closed by glass roof so that the gallery has been illuminated by natural day light. Some of the walls within the building have been kept in its original form, clay tiles.
Modern days living essentials such as stainless steel kitchens, stylish and cosy living rooms offer you the warmth of a homecoming experience. Large flat screen televisions and i-pod docks make your stay more comfortable and relaxing. Concierge services for laundry and shopping are at your disposal and your booking at the nearby CokCok Thai Restaurant is granted for you, in case of request.
Location of objecthomage.istanbul is located in a quite residential area in Beyoglu.
Town: Turkey, beyoglu, IstanbulBeyoğlu is a district located on the European side of İstanbul, separated from the old city by the Golden Horn. The district encompasses other neighborhoods located north of the Golden Horn, including Galata, Tophane, Cihangir, Şişhane, Tepebaşı, Tarlabaşı, Dolapdere and Kasımpaşa, and is connected to the old city center across the Golden Horn through the Galata Bridge and Unkapanı Bridge. Beyoğlu is the most active art, entertainment and night life centre of Istanbul.
During the 19th century it was home to many European traders, and housed many embassies, especially along the Grande Rue de Péra (today İstiklâl Avenue). Beyoğlu was one of the first parts of İstanbul to have telephone lines, electricity, trams, municipal government and even an underground railway, the Tünel, inaugurated in 1875 as the world\'s second subway line (after London\'s Underground) to carry the people of Pera up and down from the port of Galata and the nearby business and banking district of Karaköy, where the Bankalar Caddesi (Banks Street), the financial center of the Ottoman Empire, is located. The theatre, cinema, patisserie and café culture that still remains strong in Beyoğlu dates from this late Ottoman period. Shops like İnci, famous for its chocolate mousse and profiteroles, predate the founding of the Republic and still survive today.
The main street of Beyoğlu, İstiklâl Caddesi, from Taksim Square, a pedestrian street where shops, cafés, patisseries, restaurants, pubs, wine houses and clubs, as well as bookshops, theatres, cinemas and art galleries are located. Some parts of İstiklâl has a 19th century metropolitan character, and the avenue is lined with Neoclassical and Art Nouveau buildings. The nostalgic tram which runs on İstiklal Avenue, between Taksim Square and Tünel, was also re-installed in the early 1990s with the aim of reviving the historic atmosphere of the district.
A large number of the cultural creative industries are located in Beyoğlu, such to give you very few; Istanbul Modern Museum, Pera Museum, Koç Museum, Doğançay Museum, TURVAK, SALT, Arter and the majority of the cultural centers and galleries. Find out more about Istanbul
