Whether you want to just take some time out to chill and enjoy the stunning surrounding nature from a hammock on the terrace, or have an active holiday then this is the ideal place.
The house itself is made of wood with large windows to appreciate the surrounding nature and to attract the sun’s natural warmth to heat the house.
Location of objectWe are located about 2 kilometres from Mindo, set in the beautiful countryside, surrounded by pastures and farmland at the foot of a mountain covered in tropical cloud forest and only 15 minutes walk away from some of the many waterfalls in this region. This environment is home to around 70 species of birds (hummingbirds, green parrots) and a stunning display of butterflies.
Town: Ecuador, Mindo, Quito RegionMindo is located in the northwestern region of Ecuador in the midst of tropical cloud forest a mere 1½hrs away from Quito. At an altitude of 1,300m, it is a paradise for birds, butterflies and other insects as well as animals. Nature lovers, those in search of peace and tranquility, adventurers and sport lovers will all feel at home here, and appreciate the natural wealth of this region. The locals are hospitable and friendly, and the place is very safe with very few reports of theft or assault.
Mindo is paradise on earth, with waterfalls, rivers and a wide variety of exotic plants, flowers, trees and orchids. October to June is the rainy season (it rains often, but usually in the afternoon or evening) and June to October is the dryer season.
The best time to come is from late May until September. However both seasons have much to offer, and coming in October you can enjoy the warm rain.
