Description of objectThis 220 m2 charming, comfortable, well equipped self catering holiday home is situated high up on the hill of montagne charlot, and just 5 minutes drive down to the capital, port Mathurin. it offers you everything you could possibly want in a holiday home.The house has easy access from the cemented driveway (only 10 steps up) and is surrounded and secured by a wall and gate. Location of objectThe modern open plan lounge and fully equipped kitchen opens onto a veranda which runs the width of the house. on the veranda you have patio furniture as well as a large dining table offering perfect al fresco dining.step off the veranda and straight onto the deck where you can relax on the sun loungers around the dip pool (3m x 2m). the house has a fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, coffee machine to name just a few and in the lounge there is a flat screen tv with local channels, dvd machine as well as i pod docking station. there is a telephone for local calls and to receive international calls. there is also a washing machine but to be used in moderation due to the scarcity of water in Rodrigues. the accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms (one king size and 1 double bed), bathroom with shower and separate toilet is part of the main house. the 3rd double bedroom with its en-suite bathroom is found downstairs and has its own separate outside entrance. all 3 bedrooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans. Everything has been thought of to ensure you have a hassle free holiday. Town: Mauritius, Port Mathurin, Port MathurinThis perfectly located villa is an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty and wonders of rodrigues, like the caves at caverne patate, the giant tortoises, ile aux coco or trou d’argent.If you enjoy long walks, then step outside the house, turn left, continue up and over the hill, and you are in the middle of green pastures and valleys with stunning views all around. whether it’s fishing, diving, kite surfing, hiking or just pure relaxing you are after, Rodrigues is the place to visit. it is necessary to hire a car or van or motorcycle to get around. you can do your shopping in port Mathurin which is only a 5 minutes drive down the hill. this is where you will find the banks, bakery, small supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and even a wine store. you can buy your fruit & vegetables at the market everyday, but the best day to visit is on a saturday morning, when the town becomes a buzz of activity. the only filling station on the island is also found here. as rodrigues is a small island with no traffic, it doesn’t take long to drive to any of the beautiful unspoilt beaches like gravier and st. francois. Minium stay is 5 Days A starter pack which includes tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, toilet paper and soap. There is a maid who works everyday from 9am to 13pm except sundays and public holidays. she will wash the dishes, clean the house and cook for you. Her services are included in the rent. On arrival in Rodrigues, our agent will meet you either at the airport, if you book transfers with us, or at the villa, to welcome you to Noulakaz. He will be only too happy to share his local knowledge with you, as well as arrange sightseeing trips, boat trips or fishing. |
