Description of objectCharacteristic stone built holiday house located in the heart of the Eymet bastide,a medieval and beautiful dordogne village.The house has just completely been redecorated and has become a very pleasant holiday house. The house (85 sqm) is composed: -a kitchen-living-room- dining-room -2 big double bedrooms -2 bathrooms (one with shower and toilets and the other one with a bath) -1 separate toilet The kitchen is completely fournitured: oven, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, dishes etc... There are lots of activities in the area: castle and mill in the village of Eymet, many middle-aged castles and villages, lakes (Soumensac lake, Sigoules lake and Saut du Loup..), zoo (Mescoules), river Dropt (canoe and fishing possible), municipal big swimming pool, children swimming pool, sport area (football, tennis, rugby...), golf in the proximity, possibility of walking along the river or next to the lakes... There is a TV in the living room. Wifi internet connexion is possible. The house in very comfortable illuminated and is very fresh in summer. Sheets and duvets are provided. Eymet is situated in the Périgord region, on the river Dropt. The Bastide was founded in 1270, by Alphonse de Poitiers, Count of Toulouse and brother of Louis IX of France. The village is situated at the extreme south of the Department of Dordogne on the CD933 between Bergerac and Marmande. It is around 20 km south of Bergerac, and around 100 km east of Bordeaux. During the summer of 2011 a TV production company filmed a series of reality TV programmes describing the life of various ex-pat UK citizens now living in the Dordogne, with an emphasis on Eymet.
