Varna (Bulgarian: Варна, pronounced [ˈvarnə]) is the largest city and seaside resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast and in Northern Bulgaria, third-largest in Bulgaria after Sofia and Plovdiv, with a population of 330,486[1] residents according to Census 2011. The population of Varna municipality is estimated at 339,223 persons according to census 2011 [4], which makes it the second largest municipality in the country after Sofia. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous province and Varna Municipality.
