Description of objectThe house is located on the external walls of the historical centre of Calatafimi, and it has a wonderful view over the green valley below. An extremely quite atmosphere as basically no cars pass by. Given that very few tourists stay in the area, prices are very cheap and the atmosphere is “real”, the villagers are incredibly welcoming and nice.
The house on the ground floor has a living room with a double sofa-bed, a bathroom with bath&shower, storage room, big fully furnished kitchen with dining area. There are two entry doors. On the first and second floor there are two big double bedrooms. So, it sleeps 4 people comfortably, eventually 6 people.
Location of object In the proximity of the village you have the stunning Greek temple and theatre of Segesta http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segesta; two thermal Spa’s open at night as well http://www.solosicily.com/guide-to-sicily/general-information/spa-and-wellness-in-sicily.aspx - the seaside at only 16km (25 mins) by car (click here to check). Including Scopello and the famous “Lo Zingaro” natural reserve with crystal clear waters and empty beaches http://www.thinksicily.com/guide-to-sicily/areas-of-great-natural-beauty/lo-zingaro-nature-reserve.aspx - the great archeological site of Selinunte overlooking the sea http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selinunte , the fortress of Erice that you can reach by funicular http://sicilia.indettaglio.it/eng/comuni/tp/erice/erice.html and then of course Palermo and Trapani are less than 1 hour driving.
There are also the beautiful Egadi islands and a lot of wonderful site and villages in the area like San Vito Lo Capo, Mozia, Monreale, Salemi.
More over in 40 minutes driving you can reach both International airports of Palermo (Easyjet and Ryanair) and Trapani (Ryanair) always finding a cheap flight.
Not to mention the incredible Sicilian cuisine, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sicilian_cuisine probably the richest and more diversified in Italy. Wonderful real food at affordable prices.

Olive trees, orange trees and vineyards are all around making the surrounding countryside extremely relaxing and perfect for walks and small trips. The presence of water and the altitude makes Calatafimi very pleasant even during the hot month of August.
