Description of objectThe furnished flat for rent is in the Villa, a palace built at the beginning of the 19th century in the medioval context of Ceneda. It is on two levels:the first floor has a wide entry, a s
\"suite\" with chimney and livingroom TV,a diningroom, a nice and old furnished kitchen and a bathroom; the second floor has a large decorated with fresco paintings manor hall which is also accessible from the garden through an astonishing beautiful and majestic starway in the style of Palladio and next to it a bizarre bedroom in \"Japanese\" style perhaps once the smoking room. There are also, on the same floor, three large and comfy double bedrooms with two cozy bathrooms.
Location of objectThe Villa was purchased and remodeled in 1892 by a German aristocratic by the name of Giulio Grunwald as the Guest Outbuilding of the astonishing Bauer Grunwald Grand Hotel in Venice. It was the time whe Vittorio Veneto was becoming a popular resort for affluent and noble Venetian families. In 1933 the Villa was purchased by Cavaliere Gino Coletti from Milan as holidays house for his family. The granddaughter Laura is now the caretaker of the historic Villa and its fine forniture. She has a passion for botany and lives in the \"Pink House\", a beautiful and elegant cottage which once was the riding stable. The Villa overlooks a park of 5000 square meters where it\'s possible to stroll and linger around in the shaded quiet of centuries-old and precious trees like live oaks, magnolia, ginkobiloba, linden, beech and pine trees.
Town: Italy, venetian, vittorio venetoVittorio Veneto lies at the foot of the Prealpi mountains in the province of Treviso. In the past, the towns of Ceneda and Serravalle despite their close geographical proximity, led a divided and conflictual existence and it was only in 1866 that the two territories united and become knows as Vittorio. The city is still remembered today for its role in the Great War (1915-1918) as the site of the final battle which resulted in the capitulation of the enemy line; on 30 October 1918 Italian troops entered Vittorio Veneto to liberate it from the Austrians. On 22 July 1923 Vittorio was awarded city status and became Vittorio Veneto. Situated on the north of the city, Serravalle has been a strategic location for both commerce and communications.A few towers and the ruins of the city walls are testament to the ancient roman settlement which occupied the site during the first century BC. Ceneda, which stretches down to the plain, has ancient origins, indicated by the root of its name which recalls the Celtic word Kenet. Recognised in 743 as an episcopal city, it was run by noble bishops up until 1768, retaining its autonomy from the Serenissima Republic in accordance with a Venetian decree granting its rulers purely spiritual power.
