Description of objectThe B&B Björkhyddan have two separate flats - 'Gamla Huset' and 'Solstråle'. 'Gamla Huset' have 2 rooms, a pentry, bathroom and a cosy snug. We call it 'Gamla Huset' as it is situated in the old part of the house. The flat is on 2 levels.Location of objectThe nearest village of Gamleby, only 7 km away, is on the Baltic and dates back to medieval times. Also the much known archipelago is within easy reach. You can also visit the coastal village of Loftahammar to get a feel of the seaair and watch the sailingboats in the marina. Nearby on the coast is Hallmare Beach where you laze around on the marvellous sandy beaches.The town of Västervik is only 27 km away. There are many shops, cafes and restaurants. Pippi Longstocking lives only an hour´s drive away. You can make a daytrip to 'Astrid Lindgrens Värld' in Vimmerby. An easy hour´s drive away is the bigger town of Norrköping, where they have preserved the old industrial textile buildings from the 19th century and this centre has become world famous. Town: Sweden, Västervik, GamlebyBjörkhyddan is situated in Rumma/Gamleby by a beautiful valley in Småland. About 800 m from the house, is the lake Rummen, where you can fish or swim. You can rent our canoe if you like. The neighbouring farm breeds icelandic horses. The area offers much to see and for hiking there are no limits.
