Description of objectTypical New England home in idyllic Little Compton, Rhode Island, a historic coastal town. The house has three bedrooms comfortably accommodating 6 people. The master bedrooms on second and first floor provide double beds (queen-size and full-size), the third bedroom two twins. Besides, on the first floor there’s a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, and a storage room. There are two bath-/restrooms, the one on second floor with bath tub and shower cabin. Connected to the living room there’s a roomy front porch with garden furniture for outdoor dining or sun bathing. The bedroom on the first floor can also perfectly be used as a reading room or home office. This room has another porch/patio attached to it. A futon bed/sofa offers the opportunity to house an extra 2 guests. All through the house there’s a beautiful light timber flooring giving it a warm and cozy character. The house is surrounded by a big lawn bordering a wood. It is ideal for a recreative family vacation.

In the town center, called 'The Commons', next to historic sights one can find everything needed for an authentic New England vacation. In the 'The Commons Lunch' one can try the famous Johnny Cakes or Clam Showder. At Wilbur's General Store opposite the church one can find everything under the sun under one roof.
Little Compton is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and offers a number of beautiful sand beaches, for instance Southshore Beach and Lloyd's Beach. Beaches offer great conditions for a beach vacation including surfriding, beach hiking tours, or simply relaxing in the sand dunes or on the rocks high above the surf. In the neighboring town of Westport there's Horseneck Beach State Reservation, another fine long sand beach providing excellent wind surfing and also known for great birding opportunities.
Little Compton is a good starting point for excursions to New England's various sights. Newport with its famous Gilded Age Mansions, its historic harbor and the Jazz Festival is very near. Cape Cod and Boston are fast and easy to reach. Ferries from near-by New Bedford take you to the legendary islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.
