Description of objectOur house in Syros island of Cyclades is in Chroussa village, 7km away from Hermoupolis,the capital town and the port of the island. It is a traditional stone house in a farm with pine , citron and olive trees, many plants, a vineyard and a wide garden in front of the house with deck chairs, garden table in the shade of two eucalyptus and a small charming pool.It is an one room house 40m2 with a double bed, one big table with six chairs, all kitchen facilities, fridge, oven, washing-machine, tv, dvd player, stereo, one full bathroom and very nice antique Greek furniture. The house is ideal for relaxing holidays with great sea view in a peaceful enviroment. The sea is only 2km away, while you can enjoy trekking and walking around the wonderful village of Chroussa. You will need a car or a motorbike. No pets allowed.There is also a bigger house in the same farm with two separate bedrooms, one with double bed and the other with two singles, if you are interesting in. For further information don't hesitate to ask. Location of objectChroussa is a village situated in the centre of the island, at 7 km from Hermoupolis.Its farms are built in traditional style and are typical of this kind of architecture on Syros. One also finds some surprisingly grand country houses in neoclassical style, dating from the 19th century and screened from the road by pine groves. Amazingly green gardens thrive in the shade of these trees Town: Greece, KYKLADES, SYROSSyros island is found almost in the centre of Cyclades, 83 naval miles from Piraeus and 62 naval miles from Rafina.The travel with ferry-boat lasts roughly four hours, while with the modern speedboats it lasts 2 hours. Syros is gone around Easterly from islands Andro, Tino, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, westwards from Siphnos, Serifos, Kythnos, Kea and from north the Gyaro. From the hill of Ano Syra the visitor can see all these islands and immediately he will understand why Syros developed in administrative, commercial, intellectual and cultural centre of Cyclades. Within the Greek area as a whole, and particularly in the Cyclades islands, Ermoupoli, the capital of the island, contains the greatest density of neoclassical architecture. Many European architects, especially German and Italian, but also Greek, have worked consistently in two styles. They have respected the classical ancient Greece and married her to the Romanticism of the West.
