Description of objectA unique opportunity to experience life in a mayan village. Three stone houses built in traditional mayan style with palapa roofs, and a large swimming pool 12m by 3m filled with sparkling well water, pumped up from a depth of 14m by a windmill. The three houses are rented together. The main house is fully equipped with kitchenette, sink, two-ring work- top cooker, fridge, dining area, radio/CD player, and sleeps two in hammocks. The bathroom house supplied with hot water, and the bedroom house sleeps two in hammocks. There is a barbecue cooking area outside.

You are taken from the village of Chunkanán 7k into the jungle where you can climb down into the astonishingly beautiful caves filled with pure turquoise coloured water fed by an underground river system. The archaeological site of Acancéh and the Lagunas de Yalahau are nearby. The village is 50k - one hour's drive - South East from Merida, the beautiful colonial capital city and cultural centre of Yucatan.
