Description of objectThe house with garden counts 1.000m². The house contains 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one in the cave, one outdoor shower) - 2 toilets, a large deck on the ground level (with thatched roof), an upper rock deck, a fully equipped kitchen, a big walk-in closet and a large inside livingroom.La Cueva is situated in a beautiful laid back & quiet area, only 3 minutes away from the beaches (playa Las Galeras and Playita) and in walking distance to the village, with shops & restaurants. La Cueva is a unique villa constructed around a rock formation. The concept for the house is based on 3 principals: Integration with nature: the house follows the lines of the – original rock structure. The cave inside has been renovated as a supreme bathroom. Simplicity in structure: the concept and design of the house is consiously held pure and simple. The whole is built with raw and natural materials. By using organic forms and fluent lines in the architecture of the eco-lodge, we want to create a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere. Ecological: all water is collected from rainfall on the roof and is used in the watersystem. We use a biological septic pit, in where all used water is collected, filtered and finally flows back into nature. Location of objectComing from Samana you arrive in Las Galeras on the main road. About 200m before the end of this main road (=the beach)you go left. At the end of this street (400m), you take left and follow this street to the right (150m). There you are already!Town: The Dominican Republic, Samana, Las GalerasSet in a the middle of a horseshoe-shaped cove at the eastern part oft the Samaná peninsula, Las Galeras is the last village. The road litterally stops at the ocean.Between two superb capes, Cabo Cabron in the west and Cabo Samana at the eastern side, Las Galeras is relaxing at a sweeping curve of pure white sand, upon which an almost unbelievable turquoise sea laps gently. Between these two capes you find fantastic nature (nature reserves, mountains, El Limón waterfall) ánd seven beaches, so one for every day. Las Galeras is an old fishermen’s village stretched along the main road. This small village has managed to maintain its peaceful and timeless ambiance.
