Description of object

Casa Frankie is located on a quiet and safe side street in the heart of the historical centre, with its colonial charm and folkloric tradition. Within walking distance of nice restaurants, daily live music like Samba, MPB, Tambor di Crioula and Reggae or one of the many festivals. It is a 10 min. bus/taxi ride to the beach. People are very friendly towards the few foreign tourists. Sao Luis is already a popular Brazilian vacation spot.

Location of object

The two houses have 15 bed rooms, 9 bath rooms, an open kitchen with a fridge, stove etc., a living room, a big dining room, a big veranda, all in original colonial style. Nice pool area with big mango tree. The house is very suitable to people looking for peace and quiet and who still want to live in the centre of town. Airport pickup (and return) can be arranged and costs 50,- RS. It is about 20 min. drive. Reservations can be made at saoluis2004@gmail.com

Sao Luis in Northeast Brazil, capital of Maranhao State, was the only Brazilian city founded by the French in 1612. Situated on an island with kilometres of fine beaches. The city is most known for its colonial charm and falls under Unesco’s world heritage program. Sao Luis is the reggae centre of Brazil, but offers alot of different live music. With a nice carnival in February, Tambor de Mina after Easter, Forro and the famous Bumba Meu Boi cow festival in June, it is attractive year round for tropical holidays.
