In response to the notice of Mr Stephen Neville, I have to say the following things:
I like to remember mr. Stepen Neville at the full story. He refused to fill in the checklist. It takes just a few minutes and is referred as a measurement between renter and owner. At the end of the stay we know why he did refuse to fill in the list:
- He did not wait (or made an appointment) until the key-keeper could check the house.
- He just leaved the house open and left the keys on the table. Everyone could walk inside!
- The house was over soiled. Unbelievable what we found in the house.
- There where 7 garbage bags in the kitchen. Two bags with only beer bottles!
- The washing machine and cupboards where full with dirty dishes. The refrigerator was very soiled.
- When the key-keeper enter the house, the gas stove was still burning.
- We missed 3 sheets.
- One shower was full of vomit. Also the toilets are very soiled.
- Two showers where full of sand and we had to unplugged it by a plumber.
So by not filling in the list by leaving and had not checked the house by the key-keeper, he did not take his chance to evidence he used the house well. I did pay back Mr. Stephen Neville the deposit minus the extra costs we had to pay for cleaning, the account of the plumper, a new bottle of gas and the costs of communication. I think we have done it nicely. We paid him what was left.
And about the cooling system: It as floor cooling with a pump on base of air. It cools only 5 degrees less than the exterior temperature. If you keep the doors closed, it will cool very well. If you keep the doors open and the outside temperature is 35 degrees, the inside temperature will be 30 degrees. I told it 5 times to Mr. Stephen Neville (and it is written in the manual of the villa). But he would not listen.
So please if a renter named Mr. Stephen Neville will rent your house….than I warned you!
