The appartment is in a very central position in the town, close to a handy little market, lake foreshores, bars retaurant and church. Arona is only 8 kilometres south and Stresa and the islands about 12 kilometres north.
The furnishings were more homely styled which made my wife and I feel very at home. There is a spacious balcony, just right for that afternoon sun soak over a glass of Barbera or Chianti while munching over the traditional Italian panino with salami and cheese, local produce of course.
Security within the building is of the highest level with solid main door and access only via security magnetic card. There is ample parking for your vehicle and it is also security gated. The town is a typical Italian village, very quaint, quiet an medieval. Forget the car, walk through the streets and let yourself be inspired by centuries of preserved history and enjoy it\'s peaceful surroundings.
Our stay was only 21 days, I wish I could have stayed longer.
I don\'t know when.....but I\'m I will return to Solcio and will definately book the very same appartment.
