by Angela O'Keeffe on 23.01.2011 \"Luxury with Conscience\" is definitely what Earthstead is about. The place not only looks and feels amazing, but smells great too, as all the surfaces have been finished with competely natural finishes. My husband and I had a blissful four nights here and thoroughly enjoyed being in such a beautifully designed and constructed space. Cambridge itself is lovely and the surrounding countryside like something from a fantasty--indeed \"hobbit town\", where the Shire scenes from lord of the Rings were filmed, is only a short distance away. We also spent time walking at the nearby mountain bird sanctury, where rare NZ birds live in a pristine forest environment. Not to be missed. Suzie and Alistair will provide you with all the info you need for whatever you are doing in Cambridge. Oh, and the daily home-made bread was the best I had ever eaten. Such a treat! A and G Sydney

by Paul & Regina on 07.01.2011 Wonderful, eco-friendly accommodation, which provided a great base for day trips to Rotorua, Lake Taupo and the Waitomo Caves. The hosts, Alistair and Suzie, were very hospitable and friendly, but unobtrusive. Our two children didn\'t want to leave after our three days.

by Gynette on 22.10.2010 What an awesome place, we have been very spoilt. Great hosts. The fire made it very cosy on a chilly winter weekend. My husband and I had a very enjoyable time.

by David on 22.10.2010 My wife and I had just arrived from the UK to visit family and our first week in NZ was at Earthstead Villas. We were blown away by its luxurious feel and the generous hospitality shown by Alistair and Suzie. As my wife was 6 months pregnant and we were both jet lagged we really appreciated the comforts of Earthstead and enjoyed its privacy. We also loved that everything was as sustainable and earth-friendly as possible....from the solar heated floors to the earthbricks....even the welcome hamper was all home grown or locally made!
Highly recommended.
