In all the years we have been travelling this is our worst experience ever. We booked Villa Blumchrn for 52 nights as from 18/01/14 and stayed only 4. The villa is old and part renovated. The photos show the best parts. The garden photos are not up to date. We arrived to find three huge 3 story villas under construction. The construction runs the whole length of the garden. Apart from the noise and dust the construction overshadows the garden and there is not an inch of privacy. The owners choose not to inform us about the building work until after we had paid the full balance to them. When they did tell us about it they made it sound very small scale and promised us a full refund if we found the noise and dust too intrusive. The owners did eventually refund part of the money we paid but retained 376 euros to cover their own expenses! Apart from the size and scale of the building work our first impression of the villa itself was quite good. However, we soon found there were problems. The advertised phone land line and permanent internet connection did not exist. The owners left a mobile phone with a small credit on it and an old dongle that was completely useless. One air conditioning unit blows only hot air. The other is old, noisy and takes a long time to cool a small room. The tank on the roof leaks constantly .This causes pools of water – just perfect for breeding mosquitoes. We were covered in bites despite using repellent morning, noon and night. The washing machine is housed outside in a metal container. Clothes washed came out stained brown. The cupboard housing the fuse box was dangerously hot. The door facia is damaged with the heat. When we were there the heat from this cupboard caused the whole place to heat to over 36 degrees every time the external doors and windows were closed. The choice was to be cooked alive or be eaten by mosquitos.The owners, Rainer and Majorie Lohse from Frankfurt spent 3 weeks holiday at Villa Blumchen just before our arrival. They knew all about the scale of the building work and the problems with the villa at that time but choose not pass on this information to their unsuspecting clients.

We spent the 2nd holiday again in villa Bluemchen during the first half january 2013. The house and the garden is perfect. We can recommend this bungalow for a perfect hjoliday.
