I think this might just possibly be the nicest foreign holiday location we have stayed at. My wife & I normally holiday on our own but on this occasion we had my parents with us (both in their eighties). All four of us loved the villa and surrounding area. Better customer service you will be hard pushed to find. A villa with a better view will also be hard to find. The property is well equiped and cleaned to a high standard. Having the pool to ourselves was great. We ate in all the resaurants in Porto da Cruz and found every one good. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting Madeira.

\"What a lovely week we had at the Villa Ricardo. It was just as described on the website. Betty was there to meet us and give us a guided tour of the house and surrounds and answer our many questions. The house was very comfortable and very clean, and in a great location. Ricardo was a great host, and invited us to help make wine under the house, which was a once in a lifetime experience and so much fun. We hope that all that hard stomping we did helped produce a great vintage!! Also we were lucky enough to be there over the annual wine festival held in the village over 2 days. What an amazing party and celebration. We were thrilled to have had such a lovely holiday at this great villa.\"
