Additional InformationSitting amidst fields of sunflowers, maize, dahlias and gladiolas, on the edge of a tranquil hamlet, surrounded by vast forests home to deer and wild boar and in Autumn, the perfect place for foraging for mushrooms and collecting chestnuts to roast on the wood fire; the cottage has all the French country charm you would expect, but with 21st century comforts, yet still maintaining the far from the hustle and bustle of the world feel. The hamlet has its own chateau and ancient church, the cottages are local limestone and date from the 16th Century. The barns here are the summer home to ‘hirondelle’ who swoop around the courtyard and a barn owl who you can hear calling across the silence of the night. Red kite hover above the 4 acres of meadow with orchards of plum, peach, cherry, pear, apple and grape vines, pick when lusciously ripe and enjoy with local cheese and your choice of the regions excellent wines. The lanes and miles of forest routes are flat and quiet, ideal for cycling and walking |
