Description of objectThe villa lies at the edge of the village. The property is not too big, but everything is available in the house, as it was your own house. We spared no costs for the looks and all the furniture is made of wood, in traditional Greek design. No foreign or new furniture. Lots of art in and outside of the house. Villa Meltemi (sleeps 4/6) is set in the traditional farming area of Lahania Village, made famous by the film of 'Season of Forty' (with Jacqueline Bisset and Irene Papa). Each double bed has overhead mosquito nets. There are magnificent views all around the house, at the back mountain views, at the one side hilly views, at the other side sea view, at the front side valley view and one overlooks the beautiful village. One can see the the sun coming up, on the other side going down behind the mountains. The only thing to do is relax, and prepare yourself for a great night out in one of the superb restaurants or hotel restaurants. going to the beach place/bar mojito is another great idea, with its laid back music, and sunbeds from the hilton hotel. beach service at your sunbed and yummie food.
Location of objectth villa meltemi breaze is located just on the side of the village and has the nice feeling of being seperate from the village with only mountains at the back, and other houses at a comfortable distance while having high walls all around the plot and on the other hand still being able to be part of it as all is within walking distance. on can hear the goats in the morning with their bells and little ones, and birds and cats, an occasional donkey or dog, and one feels as though in the middle of nature. if you walk out of the villa, you can walk anywhere and all around the small village is nature, hills and rivers. the location and its surroundings are of great beauty for the ones who know how to appreciate such, and can enjoy time on their own. if you are looking for exterior factors to entertain you, you have come to the wrong place. it is a location of discovery, and not of ready custom made tourist attractions.
Town: Greece, lahania, lahaniaLachanias narrow streets are void of traffic and with its traditional white painted houses the whole village has a relaxed feel ideal for those who want to experience a traditional Greek holiday without tourist traps and bars and discotheques. The village Lahania is right on the site with 2 restaurants and 1 cafe. 1 restaurant is run by the the local naughty priest 'papa yiorgo' and his wife and remind completely of the italian don camillo's priest. they have excellent home made food, and is always filled with greeks. then ther is restaurant 'platanos', run by a greek family clan, which is located on the most picturesque square (central square of lahania) on rhodes. there are ducks and geeze puddling in the springs on the square and covering in the shade of the huge plane tree. There is one small supermarket with all the necessary things one wants, even biologic products one can find here. In the village there is an old olive press museum which acts like a cultural centre. There are several beaches around, beaches with umbrellas and restaurants, water sport busy beaches, sandy beaches and pebble beaches, very quiet beaches with not a single sole, and beaches where on can lie naked and skinny dip in the chrystal clear waters. th
