Description of objectBeautiful old house, in the centre of Favignana, but quiet. Recently renovated (2011) featured in an Italian top travel magazine ('Dove' April 2003). Fully furnished with antiques and 19th century Sicilian majolica tiles. The house is cool, because built in 'tuff', not in concrete. Equipped with electric fans. Cosy and green yard with a barbecue, equipped with a table, chairs, a bench and a hammock to drink, eat and dream looking at the stars.Easy connections to Marettimo, Levanzo, Mothia, Marsala (famous for its wine and the only one preserved Phoenician ship in the world!)

It is a marine reserve. Favignana has a great variety of beaches and bays, some of them are spectacular tuff quarries, like the famous 'Cala Rossa'('The Egadi battle' -241 B.C. between the Cathaginians and the Romans) The small village is unpretentious but appealing, quiet and lively.
Suggested trips: Levanzo,Marettimo (with its 400 sea caves), just to have a swim or a walk, or sail around the island to discover the amazing sea caves (in the 'grotta del genovese' there are prehistoric graffiti) in the largest and one of the most beautiful marine reserves in Europe, host of the America's Cup in the year 2006.
