Description of object

Welcome to De Beemsterkamer, a group accommodation suitable for up to 18 people in the Beemster. De Beemsterkamer is housed in a farmhouse re-erected in 2008, which is a replica of the farmhouse that was built in 1850. In the new building some authentic elements of the house built in 1850 were re-used to preserve the atmosphere in the house.

The Beemsterkamer is located in a rural area in Zuidoostbeemster, near Purmerend and Amsterdam. Therefore it is possible to enjoy quietness in the countryside during a stay in De Beemsterkamer, with cities with all kinds of facilities nearby.

In the farmhouse there are three spacious and comfortable double bedrooms, including one room suitable for disabled people. In two of the rooms four beds can be added. Besides these three double bedrooms, there also are two bedrooms suited for four people. All rooms are equipped with a TV connected to a satellite dish and a private bathroom with toilet and shower. In the bathroom of two of the rooms a bath also is available. There is also a child’s bedstead for children up to 4 years old. The rooms on the ground floor have access to a terrace with patio.

In the communal area, which is located in the front part of the building, a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with TV set is present. In De Beemsterkamer a comfortable kitchen with a gas stove, a dishwasher, an oven, microwave and a fridge with freezing compartment is present, so you can prepare your meals and eat in a kitchen equipped with all comforts.

In De Beemsterkamer, pets are not allowed. Smoking is not permitted in the building, but there is opportunity to smoke outside.

Location of object

From De Beemsterkamer Volendam, Edam, Alkmaar, Zaandam, Hoorn and Amsterdam can be reached by car within half an hour. The Keukenhof at Lisse can be reached within the hour.
From Purmerend, which can be reached within approximately three minutes by car and ten minutes by bike, there are different possibilities for using public transport to reach the above places. De Beemsterkamer itself is also accessible by bus: at the nearby crossroads (300 m.) is a bus stop.

By bike, one can, for example, hike around the Beemster and visit small towns like De Rijp and Oosthuizen, or one can bike to historical and charming towns at the IJsselmeer as Edam, Volendam and Monnickendam. A visit to the Zaanse Schans is also a possibility. If you are not able to take your own bike along, there is a possibility to rent bikes.

Because De Beemsterkamer is located a five minute walk from the Noord Hollands canal, people who like angling, can take along their angling rod. Fans of golf can enjoy the 18-hole course located in Purmerend or the 9-hole course in Middenbeemster.

In the vicinity of De Beemsterkamer are in addition to the above options several opportunities for recreation, such as walking, renting a canoe or boat in Jisperveld or a visit to the Leeghwaterbad, a large swimming pool in Purmerend. In spring, the world famous Keukenhof in Lisse is also worth a visit.

Since 1999 the Beemster has been listed on the UNESCO world heritage list. The fertile clay in the Beemster has allowed a large number of farms to be operational. So agrarians, farmers who grow flower bulbs, fruit farms and dairy farms are present in the Beemster. A trip through the varied Beemster with its straight roads (whereupon you hardly can get lost) is to be recommended.

These prices include costs for energy and water, use of kitchen, bath and bed linen and tourist tax. The cleaning costs of € 145,- and booking fee of € 10,- are not included. The deposit of € 300,- must be paid in advance and after your leave and verification of the accommodation, it will be remitted within 14 days after your departure. The cost of possible damage will be subtracted from the total deposit.

If you want to rent the accommodation during the week for two or three nights, the price per night amounts to € 300,-. For one night, the price amounts € 500,-. These amounts are exclusive of € 145,- cleaning costs.

Extra
For people from 4 years and over it is possible to add four extra beds at an additional charge of € 25, - per bed per night. It is also possible for children under 4 years of age to add one child's bedstead at an additional cost of € 5,- per night.
