Description of objectSet in a beautiful village - Vicopisano - just off the tourist areas of Florence and Pisa . Step back in time in this delightful old Tower House ' Casa al Castello ' below La Rocca . La Rocca was the defence castle built by none other than Fillipo Brunelleschi ( he built la Cupola on the cathedral of Firenze ).
From the pebbled lane enter the tower house and climb up to the first floor where you will find a large lounge room with it's brick floors and beamed ceilings all enhanced by the open fire, there is a comfy sofa bed that sleeps two also. Also on this level is the kitchen in it's rustic style but with all the mod cons that we expect today. Dining space in either the lounge or the kitchen for up to 8 people.
Climbing from the living floor you come to the large master bedrooms (2) with old wrought iron - but comfortable double beds with views from all the windows over the Village, the other towers and the garden. The bathroom with shower and toilet also on the bedroom level.
Location of objectIn a very beautiful and as yet undiscovered part of Tuscany. Short rides on local transport to Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano etc. Florence by train in 45 mins.
