Description of objectThe house is an ideal place for a family with children. There is a dedicated play room as well as lots of garden toys (sand pit, swing, slide, bikes, balance bike, tricycle etc.)
Location of objectOur house is in a small mature housing estate at the outskirts of the town. A lovely 20 minutes walk along the river brings you into the centre of Trim. The beaches on the East coast are approximately 50 minutes drive.
Dublin is 45 minutes drive away or 1 hour on the bus. The journey to the airport also takes 45 minutes. It is possible to holiday in Trim without a car as bus services to and from the airport, Dublin and other surrounding towns are available, however it is advisable to have a rental car.
Town: Ireland, Boyne Valley, TrimTrim is a delightful town with a very welcoming and friendly population. There is traditional Irish music in the pubs around town, plenty of lovely old ruins to visit especially Trim Castle, the largest Norman Castle in the British isles, which was used for the filming of Braveheart. There is a lovely new public leisure centre with a 25m swimming pool. Three golf clubs are in the vicinity, with Knightsbrook golf club being the most prestigious. The area has plenty to offer in the way of tourist attractions with Newgrange 30 min drive away and the Hill of Tara a 15 min.
