Description of object

Designed to enhance its woodland setting this beautiful house has recently been constructed using local stone from the Cevennes mountains and French oak. The living accommodation is on the first floor affording wonderful views from the large picture windows and covered roof terrace. the bedrooms can be found on the ground floor and in the old wing which was once the caretaker's cottage on this private estate.
Furnishings are of the highest quality using oak, granite and leather in the living area and mainly country pine in the bedrooms.
The well stocked kitchen offers a dishwasher, washing machine , eye level oven,fridge freezer and microwave.

There is a smaller kitchen with similar facilities on the ground floor, useful for larger parties seeking exclusive use of the pool.

Smaller parties of four may prefer to rent the new wing separately at a lower cost. This sub unit is known as 'Les Chenes' because of all the oak used in its construction.



Location of object

La Primelle is one of only two houses on a large private domaine on the edge of a national forest.

Each house has its own pool and is surrounded by gardens of lavender, rosemary and other mediterranean type plants, with pine forest and oak woodland beyond.

Beyond the gates footpaths and bridleways lead into the forest.

This is an ideal location for those seeking a unique and tranquil environment.

The local village of St Etienne is situated in a stunning valley where olives, vines , almonds and sunflowers are cultivated. The nearby medieval village of Soubès offers a small shop and thriving café bar, whilst the nearest town Lodève (about 12 minutes drive)has banks, supermarkets, a large street market and museum/art gallery.
