Description of object

Casa Olinda is a comfortable holiday house on the edge of the small village of Barrocal. Looking over the charming, undulating landscape and through the São Miguel range of mountains you can see the glittering sea beyond.
On the ground floor of this two-storied house is a large living room with sofa, kitchenette and dining area. Access to the first floor is via an open tread staircase. There is a spacious bedroom with a double bed on the gallery, and there is enough room for a cot if required. The bathroom and the second twin-bedded bedroom with a separate entrance are located on the ground floor. The windows face south and have views over the luscious garden towards the Atlantic.
The owners also live here for most of the year in their typical Portuguese style rural home on another part of the extensive grounds. Notwithstanding this, the guests can enjoy their own privacy, as the holiday accommodation has its own entrance, a secluded patio and its own carport. Guests can enjoy shared use of the salt-water pool which is surrounded by oleander, palm and almond trees. Relax under the sunshades on comfortable loungers and enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding countryside.

There is a small supermarket nearby for everyday needs and there is a good selection of other shops 2 km away in São Brás de Alportel for more extensive shopping trips. Within easy reach are the attractive towns Tavira and Olhão, the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, and of course a variety of fantastic beaches.
