Location of objectLogis de Beaulieu is situated 500km South of Paris and 37km South of Angouleme, the capital of the Department. The Charente is marked by a picturesque landscape with vineyards, pine, oak, and chestnut woods, as well as wheat, sunflower and corn fields.The Charente is the home of Cognac. The vineyards contribute to the beauty of the landscape, and the final product - the world famous Cognac Brandy - is of significant cultural and economic importance for the region. They are the centre of the private estate Domaine de Beaulieu with its small woods, fields, meadows, three lakes and the old cottage of Saint Germain, located 450 metres from the manor house...The 17th and 18th century buildings were modified for the last time in the period between 1805 and 1825, by a tax official of Napoleon. A large swimming pool was constructed in 2005, with a beautiful view on the valleys and hills surrounding Beaulieu. The private road (12) leads past the tennis court (150 metres away) and the gite Saint Germain (450 metres away), to the two big lakes (600 metres). Enjoy the Charente with its beautiful landscape.Beaulieu 1 is the ideal place for family or group holidays, since it can be rented together with Beaulieu 2, which is right next door. Together, the two apartments can sleep 9-10 persons. Beaulieu 1 sleeps up to 7 persons. Living/dining room (45 square metres) with a large open stone fireplace; kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer; entrance hall with another open stone fireplace; two twin bedrooms; one bedroom with one single bed and one bunk bed; one bath/WC; one shower/WC. All rooms heave heaters. Beaulieu 1, like Beaulieu 2, is located in one of the annexed wings of the manor house, with courtyards on both sides. Beaulieu chambre One of the courtyards (with parking, terrace, garden and outdoor tables is exclusively reserved for guests in gite Beaulieu 1. The floor of both gites have the region’s typical red clay tiles. The ceilings are furnished with old oak beams. All three gites are completely furnished. Sheets and towels (including pool towels) are provided. Beaulieu 2 (65 square metres) Beaulieu 2 is ideal for a couple or family with one child. The main entrance of the spacious apartment is in the main courtyard of „Logis de Beaulieu“, where you also find the parking spot for the car. From the inside you have a beautiful view of the main courtyard and the old stables opposite. On the back side is a terrace and a garden. This area is used by guests of Beaulieu 2 only. In the spacious living/dining room with an open kitchen there is a sofa that pulls out to sleep an additional person. Gite - Apartement for 2-3 persons: Living/Dining room (49 square metres) with a large open stone fireplace, an open-plan kitchen including dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven ; one bedroom (14 square metres) with two beds; one bathroom with shower /WC; a convertible sofa in the living room. All three rooms have heaters. Saint Germain (152 m2) Ancient charentais farm house for families and groups! Saint Germain is an ancient Charantais farmhouse with a lovely view over the valley of Domaine de Beaulieu with ist two lakes (20 acres) and the valley of Poullignac village. At just 450m, the manor house Logis de Beaulieu , has a large swimmingpool (8x14 m) and a tennis court, and is just a short forest walk away. The floor has the region’s typical red clay tiles and the ceilings are furnished with old oak beams. All this, including two traditional open Charantais stone fire places, gives the Gite a rustic yet elegant atmosphere. An unusual feature are three „mini rooms“ for children in the annexe of the building,with one bed in each room. There are two twin bedrooms in the main part of the house, one with shower/WC, the other with bath/WC. All rooms have heaters. The equipment also includes an electric oven, a diswasher, a washing machine and a fridge/freezer. 2 twin bedrooms, one bathroom with shower/WC, one bath/WC, 3 single „mini-bedrooms“and a small toilet, a large living room with an open stone fireplace and integrated kitchen and another living room. |
