Description of objectOur charming house is located in the rural village of Polujubinj, 2 kilometres from Tolmin in the heart of the Soca Valley with panoramic views of the nearby Julian Alps. To the side of the house there is a garden terrace with a pergola covered with grape vines to shade you from the sun which shines here all day. There is parking for three cars and the village has a local bar.The house has recently been renovated to high standard and is arranged over two floors. The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, an open planned living room/dining room with a wood burning stove, a single bedroom, a bathroom with a power shower and an utility room with washing machine. The second floor has a master double bedroom, a single bedroom and double bunk bedroom. It also has large family bathroom with an antique cast iron bathtub. There is also a balcony which seats two. The town of Tolmin is short drive or a fifteen minute walk away and it has numerous bars, restaurants and shops. The village of Most na Soci is also a short drive away and has a number of very good restaurants and a lake for swimming. There are numerous trails up into the Julian Alps from the back of the village as well as a gentle trail down to the Soca River. Location of objecton site :The village in on the edge of Triglav National Park and is the starting point for numerous walks in the park which all offer spectacular views. One of the nicest is to the Tolminka Gorge which is an easy thirty minute walk away. Kobala, the mountain directly above the house, is one of the premier paragliding and hang gliding sites in Europe. There is also a friendly local bar which is a good place to practice your Slovene and relax after an enjoyable day exploring the Soca Valley.. 15 minutes drive away : The Soca River is one of the wonders of nature. With it’s unique azure blue colour, it is one of the cleanest rivers in Europe, and provides all kinds of recreational sports; swimming, kayaking, white water rafting, fishing, paragliding, horse riding and hiking. Wine tasting in nearby Goriza Brdo is a popular day out.. 45 minutes drive away : Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj are easily accessible by car train (30 mins) Postonja Caves, Skojan Caves and the Lipizaner Horse Farm (45 mins) Beaches: Italian (45 mins), Slovenian (75 mins) Italy: Venice (2 hours); Cividale de Fruili (medieval town with Sunday flea market) 30 minutes. Trieste airport (50 minutes. Austria: There is amazing drive through the mountains that will take you to Villach in 90 minutes. You can return by another spectacular mountain pass or by car train from Bohinj. Town: Slovenia, Soca Valley, PoljubinjPoljubinj is the ideal location for outdoor recreation of all kinds. Walking and hiking with spectacular views is available all over the local area, and the Soca River (15 minutes walk from the house) is one of the wonders of nature.
