Description of objectThis artist's cottage is set in a rose garden with view to a 12th C tower and village. We also have special rates for couples. The holiday rental is airy, light, well furnished and also comes with garden table, chairs, barbecue and sunloungers. There are plenty of shops near the gite and tthe village has one of "the 100 most beautiful markets in France" on Sunday morning An excellent place for a couple, perhaps with friends, to enjoy a holiday in France.Wonderful location for easy access to Dordogne, Aveyron, Tarn, Rocamadour, St Criq Lapopie, Cahors etc. There are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a either a king size bed or two singles, ideal for up to 4 adults. Particular attention has been paid to the high quality of the beds in the cottage. Naturally all linen is supplied at the holiday accommodation. During the summer most villages and towns have an exhibition featuring artists of their village or town. The owner of the house is a water colour artist who paints scenes of the Midi Pyrenees and Quercy in particular, and some paintings of the area can be seen on the water colour page on the gite website. There are many galleries and art and pottery exhibitions to be enjoyed in Montcuq and surrounding villages. If you are interested in antiques, the clock shop in Montcuq and the many brocante markets of the area, during summer, should not be missed. The International Airports of Toulouse, Bergerac, Rodez and Brive are all just over an hour's drive away. Alternatively, the location of the gite allows easy travel access to the Dordogne, Correze, Aveyron, Lot et Garonne, Tarn, Tarn et Garonne, and Aquitane or Toulouse and Bordeaux, all less than an hour and a half's drive away.
