Huis ter Duin is a spacious split level holiday house, suitable for ten people and situated in one of the prettiest parts of Terschelling: the dunes of Midsland aan Zee. Huis ter Duin is fitted with all modern conveniences and is especially suited for children. Two families or a group of friends will find sufficient room and special spots to play party games, to read or to watch television. The many rooms and levels ensure a place for everyone to organize joint activities or just to do things on your own.

Huis ter Duin is a detached house which lies on top of a dune amid other summer houses on a lot of nearly half an acre. It has a commanding view. The access is from the road to West aan Zee. The bus stop is practically at the foot of the dune. The vast Terschelling beach of the North Sea is just two hundred meters away. The beaches are renowned for their size: from 200 to 500 meters wide! The relatively warm summers of the last decade make bathing in the North Sea (warmer than ever) most agreeable in summer and early autumn.

You can wander through dunes and woods or sunbathe on the beach or ride your bicycle on the picturesque shell paths from this central place on the island. On a bike it will take you only 45 minutes to the nature reserve "De Bosplaat", whilst the four-hundred-years-old Brandaris lighthouse in West-Terschelling is only a half hour away. The nearest shops are in Midsland - only a good mile from the house.
