The village is the perfect place to recharge the batteries. For the more active, there are many activities that can be enjoyed locally. Horse-riding and mountain biking are available nearby and the area is renowned for its beautiful scenery and fantastic walking.
The village of Mecina-Fondales boasts 2 bar / restaurants, an award winning vegetarian restaurant all within 5 min walking distance of Casa Ramón. Another bar has recently opened in the nearby village of Ferreirola a 10 min walk away, which often has flamenco. Further bars, restaurants and shops can be found in the next village, Pitres, a 20 min walk or 5 min drive away. For fresh bread, the local bakery van visits daily at noon and the greengrocer's lorry visits on Tuesday evenings. Listen out for the beeping horns to alert you!
