Description of objectAloft has an excellent location near the beach and has views across Allonby Bay, towards the Isle of ManThe cottage is laid out over 3 floors and is light and airy with a contemporary loft-style interior. It is ideal for a couple or two friends. Property Details Our cottage is light and airy with a contemporary interior. It is in a short row of houses facing West Green in Allonby. The accommodation is open-plan and laid out over three floors. Ground floor: Bathroom, with shower over hip bath, WC, and washbasin Garage (suitable for small car or bikes) with washing machine and tumble drier First floor: Open plan kitchen/diner/lounge with TV/DVDplayer and double sofa-bed. Lovely views across Allonby Bay from the window. Sometimes kite surfers put on free entertainment! The kitchen is equipped to a high standard. Second floor: Loft-style bedroom with double bed, 2 Velux windows. Aloft sleeps 2. There is an additional sofa bed which makes sleeping arrangements versatile. Please let us know if you would like to use the sofa bed as well as the double bed. Heating is night storage heaters with additional electric heaters in each room. Price includes electricity (house is all electric), bed linen and towels. There is ample free parking. No smoking and, sorry, no pets. Good mobile phone reception (no landline) The property is not suitable for people with mobility problems. Full accessibility statement available on request Babies and children: Aloft is ideal for a holiday with a baby as it is quiet, surrounded by level ground for pushchair walks and the village has ample facilities without driving. Aloft is NOT suitable for toddlers as it has open staircases and no doors to bedroom or lounge Local Area Details The quaint seaside village of Allonby offers a quiet pretty retreat and also easy access to the Lake District The Solway Coast is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty The shoreline is only a few steps from the door It is possible to walk for miles in either direction with a view across the Solway Firth to the mountains in Scotland The area is popular with birdwatchers and other naturelovers as it is an important bird habitat and there are many reserves nearby And dont forget your camera because the Allonby sunsets are almost as famous as its icecream The coastal towns of Maryport and Whitehaven with their marinas lie to the south down the coast The Victorian seaside village of Silloth is only 10 minutes North of Allonby The historic city of Carlisle with its castle and attractive shopping centre is within easy driving distance Inland from Allonby there are plenty of quiet country lanes which can be explored with many small villages Pub meals are available in some of those nearby villages With coast countryside lakes and hills there is something for everyone whatever the weather The magnificent Lake District National Park is within easy reach Keswick is only 30 35 scenic miles away Location of objectAloft is just yards from the beach, and being in Allonby village, all local amenaties are close by.Town: Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Allonby, MaryportA small coastal village on a bay on the Solway coast.Short driving distance to the magnificent Lake Distric National Park with all its activities and attractions.
