Description of objectThe 200 year old Cortijo near Seville is 595 metres in size set in 20,000 square metres of orange trees. It is in the countryside of Lora del Rio but only a 7 minute drive into town.The Cortijo is accessed along a 1.5km country lane from the main road where there is a large, private, fully tiled 12 metre x 6 metre swimming pool(depth 1.2m—1.9m with additional 2 metres of sunken steps) with a large pool patio, outside kitchen and dining area. The rest of the private garden is laid to lawn with trees, plants and shrubs. The accomodation comprises of 10 bedrooms ( 5 of which are ensuite). There is also a family shower room.The kitchen is well equipped with: Cutlery, crockery, serving dishes and saucepans Fridge/Freezers, dishwasher, electric ovens with gas hobs. Microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, English and Spanish television. There is also a utility area with 3 washing machines, tumble drier and a sun terrace above for drying clothes. The games room offers table tennis, pool table and games console. The 71m2 lounge has a large fireplace and vaulted ceiling with English and Spanish television, dvd player, cd player. There is a pc and wifi internet. The Feria in Lora del Rio is held during the last week in May in La Alameda del Rio area it starts on the Wednesday and finishes on the Sunday there are lots of casetas where you can eat and drink. There are many bars and places to eat as well as a few supermarkets. Lora is a large town with plenty of shops and banks. It sits on the edge of the Guadalquivir river. The historic town of Carmona Carmona, located just 25 minutes from the Cortijo around 38 km / 23 miles to the east of Seville and is full of many historic attractions. This town rises high above large agricultural plains and there are a number of impressive buildings, including several mansions, churches and also town squares. Highlights include the Plaza de San Fernando, with a Renaissance-style facade, the grand 18th-century town hall, with some well-preserved Roman mosaics in its courtyard, and the imposing ruins of the Alcazar del Rey Pedro, once the palace of Padro I. Just outside Carmona is the Necropolis Romana, which are the extensive remains of a Roman burial ground. There is also a museum on the site, with interesting exhibits of artefacts, such as statues, glass, jewellery and urns, all once buried with the bodies. The places of special interest are in the upper part of the city, the old part of town: - Parador: Built by the Arabs, it is now a luxury hotel with beautiful traditional patios.
