Located on the picturesque north coast of Sabah, Malaysia, and the paradise that is the tip of Borneo, Poseidon House rests atop a 26 meter high rock outcrop with outstanding views of the Tun Mustapha Marine Park. Through the 60 feet of sliding glass walls, the park encompasses 35 offshore islands, countless coral reefs and the crescent beach below. Poseidon House is enclosed in an exclusive and secluded 3.2 acre plot. It encaptures the true sensations of tropical Borneo with it's bejeweled butterflies, exotic birdlife, and numerous species of tropical flora and fauna. With neverending stretches of pristine white beaches to call your own, Poseidon House is truly located in the centre of what we call the treasures of Borneo.Location of objectKudat is a town in Sabah, a state in the eastern part of Malaysia, on the northern tip of Borneo island. It serves as the administrative center for the Kudat Division, which includes the towns of Kudat, Pitas, Kota Marudu, and some offshore islands.Kudat is located on the northern part of Sabah, some 190 kilometers north of Kota Kinabalu, the state capital. On the west, it faces the South China Sea, and on the east the Sulu Sea. It is at latitude 6°55'north, longitude 116°50'east. Town: Malaysia, Sabah, KudatKUDATKudat's population (2000) was 68,242. The ethnic composition is mainly Rungus, a sub-group of the indigenous Kadazan. About 10% of the population is ethnic Chinese, and there are minorities of Bajau, Dusun, Murut, Bugis, and Malay. There are two parts to the town, the old and the new. The new part of town, is by Kudat Harbor and the new part behind the new esplanade. The older and busiest part of Town is centered around Kampong Air. Kudat has its own Hospital and clinic, police head quarters and military barracks and Airport. It has numerous Hotels from the 3 star Golf and Country Resort, Ria Hotel and Upper Deck Inn, to the less expensive Grace Garden. It also has a government rest house. WWF have an office and team in Kudat. There is fish market and vegetable market in Kudat. The night market is on Tuesday night and is located in the new part of town. There are 2 Banks in Kudat, MayBank and RHB. It also has a new stadium and running track. Several Chinese Temples, multiple Christian Churches and Mosques. Kudat regional airport is 5 Kilometers from the center of town with Kota Kinabalu international airport 2 hrs and 15 min by road, or 40 minutes by regional flight (twice a week) from Kudat. Many local restaurants can be found in Kudat town, from the local Chinese, Malay, Indian to Western food. The “Tip of Borneo” is about 8 miles by sea or a 30 minute car drive from KUDAT, and well worth a visit, with its rocky head land and a 2 mile wide beautiful white sand beach. Local fish and vegetable markets in Kudat have a wide selection of very fresh tropical fish, chicken, beef and vegetables. Kudat is a golfers’ heaven, with an 18 hole course at rock button prices. The Golf club has its own open air and restaurant over looking the 9th hole. You can bring your own wine, there is no corkage charge. There is also an evening gold driving range. If you enjoy sailing, ocean going sailing boats frequent Kudat en route to Australia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Honk Kong, Singapore, and Kota Kinabalu. The boats come into Kudat for a repairs and there captains for rest…. . sailors from all over the world abound in the village, with their very exciting tales of sailing the oceans. The town of Kudat is supported by two primary industries- coconuts and fishing. Although coconut cultivation is on the decline, thousands of acres of magnificent coconut groves still remain. Fishing, on the other hand, is still on going. An early morning visit to the fish market to watch the traditional wooden boats come in and unload their catch is fascinating. Ocean fresh fish, octopus, squid, tiger prawns and small sweet scallops are plentiful and cheap. Its such fun to buy your dinner at the fish market, take it to your favorite local restaurant where the cook will be delighted to prepare it for you any way you chose. The climate is the perfect tropical mix of light trade winds and sunshine. Temperatures vary from 26 to 32 degrees. The vegetation is lush, beautiful and of course, the views are incredible. Religion: Malaysia is set in the heart of SE Asia and is an extremely peaceful country, Sabah in Borneo is the Eastern region of Malaysia, with Sarawak in the West. Kudat is predominantly Christian of various denominations and Buddhist. Please note that those with first deposit will be served first. • A Full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival - including the damage deposit. • A cancellation within 30 days of your stay will incur a loss of deposit. • A cancellation between 14-30 days of your stay will result in 50% charge of rental price. • A cancellation within 14 days of your stay will result in full payment. • A damage deposit of 50% of total stay is required at the time of full payment • The damage deposit will be refunded if no extra services were used and no damage was done to the property (i.e. breakages and missing items). • Wedding photographs and family portraits are available upon request •• All payments must be made through online banking and wire transfers. • Airport transfers, full catering services and tour guide services are available.
